Staff Rules
this section applies to all staff
- As a member of staff you are setting an example for the entire sim. One bad staff member makes the entire team look bad and that means potentially losing great members. Be professional and be kind.
- There is absolutely no tolerance for immaturity and drama. If you are unable to work professionally and peacefully with others then this is not a task for you. You must be open minded and willing to cooperate. A staff role is not a source of power for control freaks, it is an important position that needs to be maintained correctly.
- Never expect special treatment or less severe punishment because you are a member of staff or a friend of staff. If you are a member of staff you could even expect a harsher punishment as we would have expected you to know better.
- Do not share or ask for chat logs in any form from within SecondLife. Report forms should be filed here.
- Any abuse of staff privileges or failure to uphold staff standards will have you removed from the team and possibly banned depending on the situation.
Lore Weaver
- Lore Weavers are here to help Nuvaria move forward with intriguing lore and fun activities.
- Lore Weavers do not play any differently than a standard player on their own time. However during some events they may need to effect the environment or play an NPC boss, or NPC character.
- Any events, stories, or lore written and given to Nuvaria may be used on the site and in the sim as we please. No one may revoke lore or information that has already been given to us.
- For Lore Weavers, we have a group in discord for sharing and discussing event ideas. Please use this group as constructively as possible to better your events and stories.
- As a Lore Weavers we will expect you to be able to handle criticism constructively rather than taking offense.
- Promote role play! Many players often struggle to initiate role play. If you notice a lack of activity, consider starting a small scene. Staff members actively doing this will help the sim and it's activity tremendously.
- As a Lore Weaver we expect you to catalog weekly events through the use of our official form, bi-weekly.
Dungeon Master
- Dungeon Masters are here to push Established lore, with fun activities.

Mentor Expectations
- Mentors do not enforce rules they relay them. If someone is breaking the rules, PROFESSIONALLY let them know. If the player doesn't simply correct the issue, then contact an admin. Do not argue with players as it will likely create a bigger problem.
- Make new players feel welcomed. If you see someone new standing around maybe shoot them an IM and ask if they need any help getting started.
- Don't shoot down "noobs" or treat them like any less of a serious player, help them. Everyone was new to RP at some point, these players could easily be some of the best and most dedicated players if you just show them a little understanding and help them out.
- You will be expected to follow and relay the rules correctly at all times. If you are uncertain about a situation you can call for an admin or ask for help in the staff chat.
- Promote role play! Many players often struggle to initiate role play. If you notice a lack of activity, consider starting a small scene. Staff members actively doing this will help the sim and it's activity tremendously.
- Mentors can handle player complaints or issues should they feel it is minor and that this can be resolved without the need of handling punishments. They are encouraged to help address player concerns and issues if they feel they could handle it, however should matters escalate they will need to relay it to the administration team.
Admin Expectations
- There won't be room for mistakes, as an admin you are expected to uphold all rules and address situations with a neutral professional standpoint.
- You will be expected to have some level of problem solving skills.
- Don't play favorites. Making biased decisions perhaps because Jeff is your friend and you don't want to upset him; will kill everything we have worked so hard for. Making Jeff happy isn't worth losing great numbers of quality role players who are actually following rules.
- Admins cannot take part in admin situations, in factions they are apart of or leading.
- Admins will enforce rules and take action when necessary. You will be expected to submit a form (coming soon) when banning or warning a player. When punishing a player, evidence and facts is a must, if cannot be provided on rare cases, speak to owners. These forms can be viewed at anytime by other admins.
- Admins should be present at least 3 days out of the week. If you are going to be absent for longer, contact one of the owners.
- If you have nothing to do at the moment, promote role play! Many players often struggle to initiate role play. If you notice a lack of activity, consider starting a small scene. Staff members actively doing this will help the sim and it's activity tremendously.
